Bespoke Electrical Equipment Enclosure for a UK BESS Project

This bespoke designed and manufactured prefabricated steel Switchgear Enclosure houses a switchroom and a relay/control room.

The enclosure measures 9.5m x 3.6m x 3.6m and was designed, manufactured, and fully packaged, including complete electrical and mechanical installation, at our Pontefract, UK facility.

The module was installed at a new 57 megawatt National Grid BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) facility in the UK, which has the capability to store enough electricity to power 114,000 homes for 2 hours.

The critical relay and control equipment housed within the enclosure manages the input and output of electricity between the BESS battery modules and the National Grid via the neighbouring 275 kV substation.
