About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience tackling various hardware and software problems. They should be comfortable providing technology solutions to employees and working closely with third party software companies to adopt new technologies and efficiently use existing ones. This candidate should have prior experience working with information technology and understand the latest technology trends to ensure the technology in place is up to date.

Initially a hands on role to oversee, manage & develop the information technology plan across the business within a rapidly expanding business with ambitious growth plans. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can grow with the business within the role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage technologies and provide administrative assistance for various systems.
  • Understand various IT troubleshooting and provide technical support.
  • Control and monitor data, network access and backup systems.
  • Negotiate and communicate with third-party software providers for new software's and troubleshooting.
  • To develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • IT Forecasting & Budgeting.
  • Responsible for 3 sites worldwide: Pontefract (UK), Hellaby (UK) & Hexham (Aus).
  • Ownership of IT Service Delivery ADE Power.
  • Adherence to IT Group governance, risk and compliance.
  • IT Change Management.
  • Management of business IT Risk Register.
  • IT Services, Supply Chain & Vendor Management.
  • Ownership of business BCP & DRP.
  • IT Business SteerCo Lead.
  • IT Asset Management.
  • Measure IT Performance and KPI/SLA.
  • Undertake any other duties which may reasonably be required of you.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience in related field.
  • Experience in information technology space and solving various software and hardware problems.
  • Strong technical problem solving and communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ideally, experience within a manufacturing business.
  • Ideally, a degree in an IT-related field.
  • Ideally, experience in implementing ERP/MRP/CRM software.
