ADE Power has over 25 years of experience at the forefront of the power equipment packaging industry - designing and manufacturing precision engineered, purpose-built acoustic and modular enclosures, housings, and modules, for the packaging of industrial power generation, switchgear, energy storage, data centres, fuel tanks, and related equipment. We are seeking a talented and motivated Acoustics Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities
Design and develop acoustic systems and solutions for various applications.
Conduct acoustic measurements and analysis using advanced tools and techniques.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate acoustic designs into products.
Perform simulations and modelling to predict acoustic performance.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for acoustic-related issues.
Read specifications to ensure compliance.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Acoustics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Applicant must have previous experience in acoustic design and analysis.
Familiarity with steel fabrication processes
Knowledge of diesel generators (desirable, but not essential)
Proficiency in use of acoustic measurement tools.
Ability to produce acoustic report.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
The ability to review generator set airflow requirements and sound pressure level data, along with the customers specification to design a bespoke, attenuated housing solution, is desired but is not a requirement, as in house training will be provided.
Working Hours
The working hours for this position are 37.5 hours per week - 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday and 8am to 1:30pm on Friday.
The business is closed for Bank Holidays, and we also enjoy a shutdown every Christmas until after the New Year.
Note: This is a Hybrid role, working a minimum of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home (following the successful completion of probationary period).
